Additional Funding
Cleethorpes Academy receives additional funding: Catch-Up funding to support students who joined the Academy below standard in Maths and/or reading in Year 7.
The Academy will primarily focus the Catch-Up funding to accelerate progress and increase outcomes at the end of Year 7.
In 2019-2020 the Academy will receive £18,603.00 (52 students).
The range of provision includes:
- Reduced class sizes to improve opportunities and outcomes.
- One to one, paired, or small group reading lessons.
- Additional TA support in some lessons.
- One to one, paired, or small group numeracy lessons.

Catch up students made better progress relative to their targets through Year7 with 84% meeting their target and 14% who exceeded their target.
Maths progression (Catch-Up students)
In the Autumn term 91% of pupils were on trajectory to reach their target, by the Summer term this had increased to 100%.
By the end of the year 43% of students exceeded their targets in Maths.
